With precise construction, the Sitka Spruce top and German White Oak back and sides of the Martin Custom Shop 000/OM offer a combination of resonance and durability, combined with a unique and uncommon tonewood selection. The Sitka Spruce of the guitar's top is celebrated for its strength and responsiveness, while the German White Oak of its back and sides contribute to the guitar's tonal palette, and also contribute to a beautiful bookmatched woodgrain, enhancing the aesthetic of the back of the guitar greatly. 

Underneath the surface, Sitka Spruce bracing, employing scalloped X bracing, elevates structural integrity while allowing the soundboard to breathe freely and resonate.
