Abie Loy Kemarre was born in 1972 at Utopia Station, 275 kilometres north-east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Central Australia. Abie comes from one of the most celebrated painting families in Australia. She is the daughter of Margaret Loy Pula (who won the Wynne Prize in 2012), granddaughter of Kathleen Petyarre, and niece of Gloria Petyarre. The eldest of 5 children, she belongs to the Anmatyerr clan group and speaks Eastern Anmatyerr with English as a second language.

Abie began painting in 1994 under the tutelage of her famous grandmother, Kathleen Petyarre. She has custodial rights to the Bush Hen Dreaming which she depicts as well as her associated Country, sandhills, and body painting series of works.

Abie spends her time between Mosquito Bore with her family, Lake Nash (Alpurrurulam) and Alice Springs. Through her powerful and beautiful paintings, Abie Loy Kemarre is able to convey to the viewer the sensitivity and strength she derives from her Dreaming and her country..

About the Painting

This artwork depicts water soakages, which are positioned in various significant places in the artist’s homeland Utopia in Central Australia. Soakages were traditionally important sources of water for Australian Aborigines in the desert, being the most dependable source in times of drought in Australia. Aboriginal people scoop out the sand or mud using a Coolamon or woomera, often to a depth of several metres, until clean water is gathered in the base of the hole. Knowing the precise location of each soakage is extremely valuable knowledge

Works perfectly!
Size: Basic Frother, Color: Silver
The first unit I got, the charging LED was not working so I don't know if the unit is charged. I returned the unit back to Amazon and got a brand new unit the next day. Great job, Amazon! The 2nd unit has been perform perfectly. I use it to whisk eggs in the morning to make French toasts, waffles, pancakes. All comes out perfect! Also, the mike froth for my morning latte and cappuccino. Don't under estimate this small unit, the spin is fast for high!!! I saw some negative review on the durability of the unit. I hope this is not the case. I'll update if anything changes. As for now, highly recommended!!!

Powerful!
Color: Lux Galaxy, Size: Rechargeable Z1 Motor Max
This thing is powerful and works great! I was hesitant about some of the negative reviews, but this is worth it so far. I use it every day and haven't charged it in the week that I've had it. Some people complained about turning it off.... It's not that hard. Just hold the button down for a second or two and it shuts off, no fuss. If you tap/press the button you'll cycle through the next speed and then off. I only use the first speed to make my protein shake and matcha. I feel like the high speed would just whip everything to pure foam! I'm hoping this lasts me a long time.
