When Prodipe told us they were launching a new French-built premium range, we were intrigued. When we saw the Origin Series in person, we knew we had to have them.

We’re proud to be one of the very first UK retailers to stock the Prodipe Origin Design range, and this stunning Atlantic Green model is one of only three Origin Series guitars currently available through Chordplay.

Designed, assembled, levelled, wired and professionally set up in France, the Origin Design ST represents a completely different proposition to the guitars most players associate with the Prodipe name. This is a genuine professional instrument built by trained French luthiers, created to bridge the gap between mass-produced factory guitars and boutique instruments carrying eye-watering price tags.

Finished in a striking Atlantic Green metallic with elegant gold hardware and anodised aluminium pickguard, it certainly stands out visually, but it’s the specification that really impresses. The selected alder body is paired with a gorgeous flamed roasted maple neck and matching roasted maple fingerboard. Stainless steel frets provide exceptional longevity, while the comfortable 12” radius and silky vintage-style neck finish make this an absolute joy to play.

Tonally, the custom Prodipe Alnico V single coils deliver everything you’d expect from a great S-style guitar. Crisp cleans, articulate midrange, sparkling positions two and four and plenty of dynamic response when pushed. Combined with CTS electronics, bone nut and Wilkinson hardware, this is a guitar built for serious players who appreciate quality components and meticulous setup work.

The attention to detail throughout is exceptional. From the beautifully figured roasted maple neck to the flawless finish and premium hardware package, it feels every bit the professional instrument Prodipe set out to create.
