SPL's exclusive Double Adjuster is comprised of electroless nickel plated 4130 Chromoly along with 6061-T6 Aluminum Clamps to reduce weight and prohibit corrosion, while offering quick and easy adjustment. Our Blue Anodized Titanium Hardware shaves even more unsprung weight from the arms, without compromising strength.FK Spherical Bearings and Rod Ends are manufactured in Connecticut and utilize a Teflon liner to provide quiet operation, lower friction, smooth articulation, and eliminates bushing deflection under load. The liner is also self-lubricating and self-cleaning, offering robust reliability for street and track use. The PTFE liner is chemically bonded to the inner diameter of the race, and offers a very high load carrying capacity that has greatly increased dynamic wear characteristics. These shoes make a great first impression, but beware of the stingy toe box.
Size: 13.5 Wide Big Kid, Color: Black/Orange
These shoes make a good first impression. They look sharp and appear to be well-made for running shoes. They also get bonus points for having actual laces instead of the common velco/fake laces combo. However, my son struggled to get them on at first due to limited room in the toe box. He has wide feet as well as high arches and the shoes were very snug across the top of his foot initially. Once he got them on, we determined that they were both wide enough (which is a rarity in itself) and the right size – just tight across the top. I actually had to remove the insoles to get them on his feet at first. After a few minutes I tried again with the insoles and he wore them around the house for a few hours, at which point the upper material had relaxed and/or the footbed had started to take on the shape of his foot, in effect creating more wiggle room. By then he didn't want to take them off, so they must have gotten more comfortable after that brief break-in period. If they were still too tight I'm sure he would have complained. I'll update the review if the shoes wear out prematurely or there is anything else noteworthy to report.

Sole separation

I really dont like to write reviews, let alone a negative one. Have had the shoe 1 month and the out sole on both shoes are peeling up. Normally we have had great success with saucony shoes for my boys. But this one we haven't had good luck. I have been super gluing the soles back down everything they peal up. Hopefully this is just a 1 off incident. Both side of one shoe and a large chunk of the heal on the other. You can see the glue marks and separation in pictures.
