Riviere binding: three quarter red morocco over red cloth; raised bands to spines, ornamented in gilt; spines lettered in gilt; with gilt fillets to calf; top edges gilt, others untrimmed; marbled endpapers; pp. xxxvi, [ii], 170, [2]; xxviii, [ii], 164; both volumes with rubbing to calf at upper hinges of spines; slight dark marks to morocco of upper board of volume I; with spotting to cloth of volume II; ownership stamps to paste-downs; a little spotting throughout; a good set.
These large paper editions limited to two hundred and sixty copies printed of volume I, this being no. 2, and two hundred and fifty copies printed of volume II, this being no. 12. A wonderful selection of Elizabethan poems, edited by A. H. Bullen, with poems chosen by Nicholas Breton. Including poetry by Sir Phillip Sidney, Robert Greene, Thomas Lodge, and many others.
