Description:
"Passionate, pithy, learned, witty, and vigorously combative, The Truth of the Matter tells the extraordinary story of the only Prime Minister of Australia ever deposed from office."
"On Remembrance Day, 1975, the Governor-General of Australia, Sir John Kerr, sacked the Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam. The Dismissal was the culmination of almost three years of political conflict, as Whitlam's reforming Labor government rammed home overdue legislative reforms in the face of implacable, and increasingly bitter, conservative opposition. The focus of the Opposition's scheming was the Senate, where its leaders blocked supply in order to force a political crisis.
Whitlam, famous for his 'crash through or crash' style, refused to compromise with his political enemies. After consulting secretly with the Opposition Leader, Malcolm Fraser, and the Chief Justice, Sir Garfield Barwick, Kerr abruptly informed the PM that he had withdrawn his commission. Half an hour later, Kerr swore Fraser in as 'caretaker Prime Minister'. At an election a month later, the conservatives were returned to office.
Controversy and recrimination followed. Many Australians, including Whitlam himself, believed he had been the victim of a coup. In 1979, he published his own account of the events of 1975, The Truth of the Matter, an instant best seller. Out of print for many years, it is

Nice quality bag, very stylish
Color: Mk Signature/Vanilla/Acorn, Color: Mk Signature/Vanilla/Acorn
This Michael Kors small duffle crossbody is a cute play on a travel bag. From the adjustable strap that mimics a heavy duty duffle bag to the outer pocket that can hold little what-nots, and the roomy innermost part of it, this bag is very stylish. The material is heavy duty, yet high quality. It doesn’t feel like it is cheap or so delicate it won’t last long with care, or scuff or scratch easily. The material, canvas, hardware, handles, and straps are high quality, and very rich in color. The bag has enough storage capacity allows for my phone,, cosmetics, keys, wallet, and AirPods, with some room left over. The zippers don’t catch or appear they will break easily. I’ve been able easily open and close the bag and pockets with no issues. Overall, this bag is great quality and very stylish. The color goes great with neutral tones and all black. I enjoy carrying with while dressed up or down. Very happy with this bag.

Beautiful, versatile bag with standout details
Color: Mk Signature/Vanilla/Acorn
This is a stunning bag, especially in the vanilla color. The hardware and overall detailing feel high quality and really elevate the look. It is the kind of piece that gets noticed and works well as a statement accessory without being over the top.
Even though it is on the smaller side, it still holds a surprising amount, and the size keeps it comfortable to carry without feeling bulky. I also love the versatility of being able to use the top handles or attach the crossbody strap depending on the situation. It pairs just as well with casual outfits as it does with more dressed-up looks for a night out.
While this bag does have a premium price tag, it does not feel like they skimped on any details or hardware so that feels like a good value there. I also appreciate the two-in-one versatility, which also helps when considering the cost of this bag as well.
Overall, this is a beautiful and functional bag that I have really enjoyed, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
