While this comes from a tree that was spalted, this block does not appear to have any spalting on the observable faces. This block includes some bark and wane, where an edge intersects the outside of the trunk (see photos). These socks are just OK. One arrived with a hole (easily sewn up, but kind of bummed about that). I prefer the Under Armour Resistor socks - they have support built into the socks that you actually can feel, and they were same price for 6 pairs!

Perfect socks for all day wear

Light weight dry fit. Extremely comfortable very functional fits nice and is not too thick but not too thin. I wouldn’t say they are slip resistant but I am not going to try sliding around in them. I would buy again and choose over other brands I have tried before
