Description

Camp Stash Box 800MLThe PDW Camp Stash Box 800ML is a watertight stainless steel container built for a full trailside meal, serious snack duty, or a camp kitchen kit that means business. Same food grade 304 (18 8) stainless construction as the 400ML, same double latch lid, same removable silicone gasket. Twice the volume. If the 400ML is the one you carry every day without thinking about it, the 800ML is the one you reach for when you actually plan to eat well out there.

This box was sized to hold a full stacked sandwich, or with the adjustable internal divider in place, a proper bento setup: protein, vegetables, rice. It also fits five complete s'mores sets, plus one extra marshmallow for that guy in your group who always drops his in the fire. You know who he is.

Trail Meals

800ML/27oz is enough for a real meal, not a snack dressed up as one. The adjustable divider keeps components separated and upright. Pull the divider out entirely and the full interior opens up for a sandwich, a wrap, or whatever you managed to pack out of the cooler.

Fire Kit

More volume means a more complete kit. Tinder, fatwood, pine pitch resin, waterproof matches, a lighter, and a backup. The watertight seal keeps everything dry regardless of conditions. When you need fire, it all needs to work.

Trail Snacks

The double-latch lid remains rodent-proof at 800ML. The squirrels have not gotten smarter. Food-grade stainless keeps contents free of plastic off-gassing, and the airtight seal keeps snacks fresher longer than anything in a zip-lock.

First Aid and Gear Storage

Room for a more complete personal first aid kit, or a well-organized collection of small camp essentials. Waterproof, crush-resistant, fits a pack side pocket or the lid of most medium-sized packs.

Construction

304 (18-8) stainless body and lid. Adjustable internal divider is removable. Silicone gasket pulls free for top-rack dishwasher cleaning or a hand wash. Stainless does not absorb odors or stain. The lid is embossed with a custom PDW campfire graphic; the body carries a laser-etched PDW logo. Bento form factor: maximum usable interior, minimum wasted exterior footprint.

FAQ

What is the PDW Camp Stash Box 800ML made of?

The Camp Stash Box 800ML is constructed from 304 (18-8) food-grade stainless steel, the same alloy used in commercial kitchen equipment. The lid seal is removable food-grade silicone. No plastics are in contact with your food or gear, which means no BPA and no phthalate leaching.

How is the 800ML different from the 400ML Camp Stash Box?

The 800ML is double the capacity at 800ML/27oz versus 400ML/13.5oz. It adds an adjustable and removable internal divider for organizing meals or separating contents. Exterior dimensions are 107mm H x 153mm L x 110mm W, compared to 54mm H x 114mm W on the 400ML. Same 304 (18-8) stainless construction, double-latch lid, and removable silicone gasket on both.

Is the PDW Camp Stash Box 800ML actually watertight?

Yes. The lid is sealed by a removable silicone gasket held closed by two independent latches. The construction is watertight and leakproof under normal pack and camp conditions. It is not rated for submersion, but it will keep contents dry in rain, condensation, and pack environments.

What fits inside the PDW Camp Stash Box 800ML?

The interior fits a full stacked sandwich, or use the adjustable internal divider to set up a bento-style meal with protein, vegetables, and rice. It holds five complete s'mores sets plus one backup for that guy in your group who always drops his in the fire. It also works well as a fire kit, a more complete personal first aid kit, or organized small gear storage.

What does the internal divider do and can it be removed?

The divider is adjustable and fully removable. Use it to separate meal components, keep gear organized, or divide wet and dry contents. Remove it entirely for full open interior volume, which is the right configuration for a sandwich or larger items.

How do you clean the PDW Camp Stash Box 800ML?

Remove the silicone lid gasket and place the box, lid, and gasket on the top rack of a dishwasher, or hand wash with soap and water. The gasket pops back into the lid channel when dry. The divider is also dishwasher safe. Stainless steel does not absorb odors or stain under normal use.

How does the PDW Camp Stash Box 800ML compare to plastic containers or Altoid tins?

Plastic containers leach BPA and phthalates into food over time, especially with the temperature cycling common in camping conditions. Altoid tins have no seal, crush under pack pressure, and rust. The Camp Stash Box 800ML is crush-resistant 304 (18-8) stainless, sealed airtight, and food-safe with no chemical off-gassing. It also has an adjustable divider, which no tin in the world has ever offered.

Is there a smaller version of the PDW Camp Stash Box?

Yes. The Camp Stash Box 400ML is the compact version at 400ML/13.5oz. Sized for individual snacks, a personal fire kit, a small first aid kit, or three s'mores sets over a three-day trip. Both sizes use the same 304 (18-8) stainless construction, double-latch lid, and removable silicone gasket.

What does the PDW campfire embossing on the lid mean?

It is a custom Prometheus Design Werx graphic, a nod to the campfire as the functional and cultural center of any camp. The body also carries a laser-etched PDW logo. These are marks of provenance on a tool built to be used hard and kept for a long time.

Translation not Literal!
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
The fist volume had a more literal translation then the second. If first Clement and Didache are in your reading list, Shepard of Hermas will fit there too!

At times it has been somewhat repetitive and tedious to read
Format: Hardcover
One of the earliest books in Christianity, The Shepherd of Hermas was probably written around 140AD, and avidly read for the first few hundred years. Likely its failure to become one of the recognized books of the Canon (Bible) had something to do with its fall-off in popularity. Today, while an Apocryphal book from the age of Apostolic Fathers, it seems arcane, and somewhat desultory. Nevertheless, one can see this book as a vision, a dream, or even an attempt to describe elements of purgatory. Both Latin and Greek copies, at least in part have been found, there are also parts missing which make reading it a bit of a challenge. At times it has been somewhat repetitive and tedious to read. I read the edition and translation from the Greek by Bart D. Ehrman: "The Apostolic Fathers Vol. II" from the Loeb Classical Library. The original author was claimed by some to be the brother of Pope Pius I. It is interesting to have a view into what the Council Fathers were looking at when deciding what to add to the Canon, and what not to add. The probings by our minds, between the dark and the daylight, are not so different a few thousand years later. How is God going to judge me and my sins? What must I do to prepare? What is within my ability and what is not? And where do I fit in His Kingdom?

NOT JUST FOR EASTER
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I ordered this book firstly because it talks about the Bible. It's meant for someone who wants to read something meaningful in the weeks leading up to Easter. It’s a thoughtful, well-written devotional that can help you to reflect on the word of God and the significance of Christ’s death and resurrection. The best thing about this book is that it’s designed as a 30-day reading plan, and that makes it easy to incorporate into your daily routine. Each day’s reading is only about one and 3/4 of a page - short enough to fit into a busy schedule, but each devotional is still meaningful. I think it's designed like that so you can do a quick reading, like inthe morning when you get up and have your morning tea, or when you're in bed at night. It also gives you something to reflect on throughout the day. The devotionals don't just focus on Easter, it's based on passages throughout the Bible. It shows you how scriptures ultimately lead to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All the way from Genesis to Revelation, it defines how God's plan of redemption through the cross has been laid out for years, long before Jesus's birth (and after his death and resurrection). Each devotional has reflection questions to make you think about what you read, along with a prayer. This would be the perfect book for someone who wants to get into reading the Bible but doesn't know where to start. It has a lot of Biblical insight and depth. Its simple but powerful and emotionally moving. It would literally take you about 5-7 minutes of your day to read each devotional, and it gives you something to reflect on the rest of the day. The thing about it is that it isn't just for Easter; this can be read any time someone wants a Christ-centered devotional to lift their spirits or to learn more about the Bible. I would definitely buy this again for a gift, and will be looking into other devotionals by this author. I’m very happy with this book and would definitely give it five stars, and if you are questioning your faith - Christ died for you, all you have to do is ask for clarity, and He will provide.
