The 1883 Colt Burgess lever action made from '83 to '85 represents Colt's lone attempt to compete with Winchester for the lever action rifle market. Colt's initiative resulted in 6403 rifles. Manufacture of the Colt Burgess ceased early in 1885 only 21 months following its introduction. The model gun for the Colt Burgess is exhibited in the Colt Collection of the Connecticut State Library. With such a small production the Burgess is one of the rarer models of Colt weapons and has considerable Collector's appeal. Collectors have nicknamed the Colt lever action the "Burgess" after its inventor Andrew Burgess. Burgess was a well known civil war photographer designer of fire alarms and a prolific designer of firearms. He had nearly 600 firearms patents to his credit. Only three engraved pieces were made and one of these (serial n‚à´U285) was presented to William F. ( Buffalo Bill) Cody. On the side of the frame is a motif of Cody shooting a buffalo from horseback using a Colt Burgess rifle. So the fact that Buffalo Bill Cody owned one of these guns adds to their colour and appeal as does the overall handsome design and the lever operated action. Original price sheets from Colt and Winchester show the Winchester 1873 carbine was priced at $17.50 whereas the Colt Burgess carbine was priced at $24.00. According to tradition Winchester did not take kindly to the intrusion and developed a few revolver designs which would have then been in direct competition with Colt's mainstay products. Before long a deal was reached and Winchester agreed to stay out of the revolver business.Shipping Notes

We tried others that were nice but this particular room divider adds total privacy. We were looking for that. Easy to assemble. There is no gap if you position each petition close enough. The guality is very nice. Exactly what we were looking for.

Get help to mount on the wall!
sturdy, easy assembly, looks nice, but a bear to mount on wall by yourself. It is heavy and can be awkward to hold and drill holes as well. a template would have been nice and at the time i didn't think to make one. even then it can be tricky to find the hole you drilled in the wall. Also i recommend once mounted and if not in a stud to find a stud and drill a third hole with a longer screw to screw into a stud just to make sue it is sturdy. I mounted mine above the toilet in my bathroom and the crews are in sheet rock with plastic mounts. I drilled a hole though the cabinet brace and into a stud. Visions of it crashing onto my head while sitting there. LOL. a second person for install will longer the difficulty a lot.

Nice looking cabinet, fairy easy to put together
Once installed, this cabinet is amazing! Lots of room and love that it has doors to hide whatever it is you want to store in it, rather than just having open shelving. Assembly wasn't the easiest, but not the hardest either. Installing it took two people and I recommend putting the doors on after hanging it, otherwise you have to hold the doors open while trying to mount it to the wall. Seems to be very sturdy and the white stickers to hide the hardware is a nice touch.

Good buy overall
Giving this review to help fellow buyers like me. It's a good addition to our small walk-in shower/bathroom, perfect size for the 24-inch space and there's a little bit more room on the side. Putting it together was fairly easy. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I wish there's more than just 2 screws to put on the wall though as I don't feel that it's really secure. I'm afraid that it could fall on someone's head. The other thing is because the doors of this cabinet is not even and there's no way to fix it. I like the rod section of it because that's where we hang our clothes when showering. It has the Ikea quality, if you know what I mean. Overall it's a good buy.
