Merlin MR555MYQ Roller Opener Features
First introduced in 2009 the Merlin Roller series, also known as the “MR” series of roller door openers are one of the most commonly seen roller door openers in Australia. Building upon 10+ years of history, the MR555MYQ is the first water resistant roller door opener released by Merlin for use on carports, perimeter doors and other exposed installation locations.
The MR555MYQ comes with the highest water resistant casing on the market, with an Ingress Protection rating of IP34. The rating means the MR555MYQ is protected against items larger than 2.5mm, and is protected against vertical spraying water at an angle of up to 60°. Compared to the other main weatherproof opener (ATA GDO8, IP24) the MR555MYQ has a higher protection rating.
The included E970M remote control features a rolling code encryption called Security+ 2.0, which generates a new code each time the button is pressed from trillions upon trillions of possibilities. By transmitting across three frequencies, the E970M remote control all but eliminates interference problems, meaning your garage door will open with every press of the button. Due to the remotes high security, only your garage door remotes will ever open your gate or door preventing code grabbing devices from ‘replaying’ the code to open your garage door.
The MR555MYQ is also compatible with the MYQ Connectivity Kit, allowing you to open and close the door from your phone.
