The SPD Edition STS-Linen Micarta folder design is a modern, technical, framelock folder featuring a distinct clip point blade inspired by the classic Loveless chute knife. This SPD edition features a premium Böhler M390 blade, OD Green linen micarta presentation handle side, billet titanium framelock handle side, lock bar limiter, and ceramic bearings in the pivot for a smooth action. The linen micarta featured in this SPD Edition is another direct nod to the original chute knives which featured micarta scales in the handle.
The STS not only draws its blade shape inspiration from the Loveless chute, but also its intent. An edged tool that is highly versatile and capable in a wide range of environments and conditions as required by Harry Archer, another legendary figure and the man who initially commissioned the chute knife idea to Loveless. Archer required a knife that could be used for cutting parachute lines, wilderness survival, personal safety, and more; and also do so in demanding, rough environments. The STS is a highly reliable and capable tool for your next adventure, be it at the top of your favorite local peak, wheeling on a new trail, trekking, backpacking or exploring a distant land far away, full of mystery and perhaps even a little danger.
