Titanium Protect-A-Boots are the latest in thermal protection technology for spark plug boot protectors. Developed from a unique material mined from lava rock, stranded and woven into a proprietary weave for added durability and strength yet is pliable enough to provide a universal fit for straight or angled boots. Titanium Protect-A-Boots are naturally resistant to heat, chemicals abrasions and contaminants, and are engineered to withstand temperatures up to 1800F (983C) of direct heat. High horsepower engine compartments are known for extreme heat that can put spark plug boots and wires at risk. With excessive heat generated from the exhaust manifold and headers the ignition system is vulnerable to the potential of burning, hardening and cracking of ignition wires and boots that could lead to arching, engine misfire and potential ignition system failure. Titanium Protect-A-Boots with LR technology, are engineered to handle extreme heat providing the ultimate protection for todays high voltage ignition systems for many applications including automotive, marine and powersports. The color and weave work together to give DEIs Titanium Protect-A-Boots a cool carbon fiber appearance that looks great under the hood - ideal for race, street, show cars and off road vehicles. Ultimate protection for spark plug boots and wires Withstands heat up to 1800F (983C). Our 6 in. Titanium Protect-A-Boots come with a reinforcement ring at the base for easy plug removal during maintenance. When working on boots with tight bends, try our 8 in. Titanium Protect-A-Boot XL Ringless instead. For thicker boots like MSD or Taylors we recommend our Protect-A-Boot Ringless Sleeves; the 1.25 in. diameter will allow for a simple install.Ultimate protection for spark plug boots & wires Non-flammable and protects against chemicals and resists water Double-wall construction for added durability Cool carbon fiber look Boots measure 6 in. Not for Toyota/Scion
Lots of clips to choose from but none fit the car (06 Scion) I was working on. Grabbed one that was close, bent, folded and cut it until it fit. It works, but it was 100% a different clip when I was done.
