Description
White Ash Block WA-167 3" x 3" x 12.2"White Ash Block WA 1673" x 3" x 12 1 4"3 lbs. This is a very nice 3 inch square section, end grain block of Texas White Ash. The color is an overall light to slightly pinkish brown with strong inter grain stripes of darker brown (spalting?) and a strip of bark along half of one edge (top photo). The grain pattern is strong and linear but nicely figured in the younger wood below that strip of bark. It also includes a subtle hint of curl with light

This is a very nice 3 inch square-section, end-grain block of Texas White Ash. There are two thin strips of "included bark" on two edges of the blank (top photo, left edge of annotated face and lower edge of left side). There are also two very small drying checks on the annotated face - one just below the smaller strip of included bark and one at the lower end, to the left of the bark on the edge (top photo). These are thin and tight and appear to be very shallow - I do not consider them to be significant flaws.
I see no other cracks, checks or "flaws" in this blank.

This isn't made to hold weight. Mdf and metal. Still, made a statement in my bathroom. For me, it's worth the price. Just remember if you're looking for son to tug on, this isn't for you.

Great little product
These are nice. They look really good. Nice metal accents with real wood. These are great. They went together pretty easily too. Anyone could do it. The only complaint I had about these is that I had to predrill the holes because they had not gone deep enough at the factory. They had small dimples where the screws were supposed to go. I had to make them actual holes with my drill. Not too bad though. Other than that they are awesome. You could even lightly sand and paint these to be any color you wanted. The metal brackets would pop right out and could be easily reinstalled after the paint dried. I like them a lot. They might be a bit smaller than I had imagined but they are as advertised. If you line up 3 rolls of TP that’s about exactly how big they are. Hope that helps. Take care.
