These gorgeous quilts are made from recycled cotton saris which are between 5-20 years old. The kanthas are made from multiple layers of saris quilted together and are therefore reversible. Since the kantha quilts are sourced from old saris, no two are the same and each one is unique and fun. 

They are breathable and lightweight and wash well at 30C. They are extremely soft and gentle on the skin and dry very quickly. 

These kanthas are multifunctional and can be used as: bedspreads, throws, blankets, scarf, shawl, tablecloth, towel, wall covering, picnic rug, the list is endless. 

Each kantha is unique and roughly measures 2.15 x 1.40m (85x55inches) but may vary due to their handmade nature.

Note: as these kanthas are reversible, the reverse side may be a completely different colour and design. This is the beauty of these gorgeous kanthas. Since they are made from vintage cotton saris, there may be imperfections and/or signs of wear. We celebrate these imperfections as they are part of the beauty of these vintage blankets.
