Today's Masterbilt Gem Archer punches in with classic Epiphone sound and style as prominent characteristics.
This Epiphone artist model is based on Archer's original Sheraton with the same build standards as Epiphone's Inspired by Gibson Custom model guitars. Kicking off with a five-ply layered maple/poplar semi-hollow Sheraton body, this model is light and resonant with a maple centerblock to eliminate unwanted feedback and is bound with seven-ply top and three-ply back binding. A one-piece mahogany neck extends out with a 60s C profile topped with a rosewood fingerboard bearing twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets and Mother of Pearl block and abalone triangle inlays. Made for seamless playability at every position, this neck and board are a dream.
Tonally, this Gem Archer signature drops in with two Gibson USA Mini Humbucker pickups fitted with high-quality 500K CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors, and a three-way Switchcraft pickup selector. This is truly a model to fill stadiums with massive, anthemic guitarwork. The sounds of this Masterbilt model are backed up by a lineup of sturdy hardware specifications. For one, an ABR-1 bridge with a raised diamond trapeze tailpiece grounds strings stably at one end of the scale. A low-friction Graph Tech nut and Grover Rotomatic tuning machines align at the Dovewing headstock with its Mother of Pearl Tree of Life inlay, ensuring streamlined stringing and stable tuning. An included Epiphone hardshell case comes included with this Gem Archer signature for safe travels.
