Boeing 707 JT3 High-Top Bar Table

Jet engines look fast even when they're standing still. This remarkable table is made out of key parts reclaimed from hard-working Pratt & Whitney jet engines used on Boeing airliners. The pieces have been cleaned and polished, bringing out the natural discolorations in the metal resulting from wear and heat exposure. The base and pedestal are made from a JT3 engine hub and main shaft and JT8 burner can. The JT3 jet engine was used on commercial transports, including the Boeing 707 and 720 and Douglas DC-8, as well as military aircraft. The JT8 engine was used on the Boeing 727 and 737 and McDonnell Douglas DC-9 and MD-80. The top of the table is made from a JT3 engine stator, or stationary airfoil, topped with a round custom-cut piece of half-inch-thick glass. A Certificate of Authenticity and Custom Hangar keychain are included. Measures 42"H x 41" in diameter at tabletop. Weighs 187 lb (uncrated).
