It’s perfect for pairing a crazy variegated or a speckled colorway with a coordinating solid, or for using leftovers or a gradient set. The shawl is worked sideways with a knitted-on edging, and the simple instructions mean you can knit one up from wherever your summer days take you. Can be knit in singly ply or multi-plied fingering weight yarn. Resizing is easy - just add stripes! The final scallop directions will work as written as long as you increase by full stripes.

Sock or Fingering Weight
DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Tosh Merino Light by Madelinetosh (100% Merino Wool; 400yds): 1 Skein in Color A & Color B.
ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 1 Skein each in Color A & Color B. Kettle-dyed in small batches in Uruguay to create lovely variegated shades that range from striking to subtle mottling of the finished garment.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 68" Wide x 14" tall at point
YARDAGE: 400yds Color A & 400yds Color B
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner
NEEDLES: Size US 5 / 3.75mm circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
