This exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon displays an intense crimson red hue with brilliant clarity, reflecting the wine's concentration and quality. The depth of colour hints at the rich flavours and structured tannins that await, characteristic of premium Coonawarra fruit.
Aroma
The nose reveals lifted aromas of toasted spices and tobacco leaf, seamlessly melding with blood plums and fire-roasted pimentos. Classic Coonawarra notes of blackcurrant emerge alongside mint and eucalyptus, with subtle hints of violet and anise. The 24-month maturation in French oak hogsheads adds integrated cedar wood complexity.
Palate
On the palate, this wine delivers beautifully textured tannins with lovely fine length and an abundance of dark fruits. The fully ripe blackcurrant flavours are complemented by spice, whilst maintaining that distinctive cool-climate Coonawarra cabernet persona. The finish is elegant and persistent, showcasing the wine's excellent structure and ageing potential.
