When activated, the Air Locker prevents the internal differential gears from rotating and therefore prevents the axle shafts from turning independently of each other. With both wheels tied directly to the rotation of the ring gear, the vehicle maintains maximum possible traction at all times. When unlocked, it operates like an conventional open differential. It is the OEM recommended oil for my 2017 9.9 outboard. Arrived quickly and in a sealed plastic bag. No leaks. This is 32 oz and the motor only calls for 27 oz so enough for topping up in needed.

The price was too good to pass; I stocked up on 3 years' worth of oil. QuikSilver is OEM Mercury oil, and this stuff has long shelf life if you can store it in stable indoor temperature/away from temperature extremes. Great buy overall, highly recommended.
