Between 1989 and 2007, the celebrated West End Jazz Band of Chicago produced and released eleven full-length albums under its own WEJB and Legacy 2K imprints, including four cassette-only titles and seven CD-only titles. The four cassette albums were sold only at WEJB performances and are very rare today. The CDs  garnered rave reviews around the globe from fans of 1920s and '30s jazz and "hot dance" music for their sparkling arrangements, superb musicianship, crisp sound quality, and fresh repertoire, reviving excellent but seldom-heard songs from the era. The tapes and CDs are now out-of-print collector's items, and when used copies turn up, they often show considerable signs of use -- a testament to their enduring popularity! These were not merely souvenirs to buy and put on the shelf; they were played -- often!
