The colors are a beautiful combination of light and dark browns (with a slight pinkish shade). The grain is tight and smoothly flowing. There is some gorgeous quilting and chatoyance on one face that appears to extend well into the block. This bowl blank has been air-dried to 8-10% moisture content. It was cut from close to the pith and does include a bit of pith-related cracking. We've stabilized this with clear CA glue. You will likely want to reapply CA glue while turning. Don't Waste Your Money
Bought this 2 year protection plan and come to find out it doesn't even cover simple stuff like our mattress losing it's shape and stability. A mattress should last longer than 1 1/2 years before it starts caving in and the foam and springs start to give. So disappointed. Asurion Protection is a waste of money.
