Torrefaction, a process in which tonewoods are heat-treated to bake out imperfections, stabilize tonal voices, and impart a lived-in sonic quality, makes this Sitka spruce a more refined and distinguished tonewood right off the bat. Finishing out with layered Indian rosewood back and sides, this GS Mini body is compact, comfortable, and summons an impressive scope of sounds with its smaller stature, concerned. A classic X Bracing pattern lines the Sitka top for balance and concision.
A Neo-Tropical mahogany neck lands on this GS Mini in Taylor's Standard Carve profile. This classic Taylor shape offers up a perfect balance between slim and full. From here, a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard joins in for a compact yet easily played set of frets. Playability expands at this point with the addition of Taylor ES-B electronics that allow for the seamless translation of acoustic tones to the stage.
