In Costa Ruana you are a tribal chief. Send your natives to nearby islands to get your hands on more pirate treasure than your rivals. If you become Shaman, your decisions affect events, so your rivals will try to influence you by fair means or foul... Your aim is to score the most points by having treasures in your hut and natives in your reserve at the end of the fifth round. Treasures are the key: Each round you collect one from each island on which your tribe has a majority (or a minority, if other tribes are tied there). Cards let you move treasures, place natives on islands, bring them home, or move them between islands. In each round everyone plays one card face up in front of ANY player (including themselves), followed by another card, face down (also in front of anyone). Lastly, you may place one native on any played card - even a hidden card played by an opponent, if you are very bold! - to copy its effect for yourself. The background to each card is one of four colors, but in each round only cards of two colors will be resolved, affecting the players in front of whom they are played. The Shaman determines these colors by turning over one of two condition cards. If you are the Shaman, use your power to best effect; otherwise try to outguess the others or influence the Shaman. Remember the number of treasures in other players' huts and manage your natives carefully - a few points can make the difference! Scheming, double-guessing, and bluffing: Welcome to Costa Ruana!

sweet picture book read
Format: Hardcover
I LOVE DAD WITH THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR is a sweet book of love, written from the perspective of a child to their father. The book uses imagery from other Eric Carle books alongside simple language to describe the connection between father and child, such as "Dad... You are easy to talk to... and you're fun to play with." Ellipses break up sentences across multiple pages, with animals that suit each phrase pictured as parent and child. What I loved: This is a cute and simple read that would be a great gift for a new father or father of a young child, as they can share it together. The short length of the book works well for infants and toddlers, as each page only has a few words. The illustrations are simple, borrowing from past Eric Carle books to maintain his style, and showing the animals most related to the text (for instance, on the page with "but you're still cool" it features polar bears) on a white background. This is a simple style that will work well for little ones. The very hungry caterpillar appears on each page, almost hidden and could make for a fun and easy search for toddlers. Final verdict: Overall, this is a sweet picture book that would make a great gift for new fathers or fathers with young children.

great audio book
Format: Kindle
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed Strangers. It was the perfect length — long enough to get invested in the characters without dragging on. The story felt very relatable and honest about how much people and marriages can change over 20 years. I appreciated how openly it explored growing apart, unmet expectations, and the complicated emotions that come with long-term relationships. That said, while I could understand some of James’s feelings, I personally don’t think I could ever forgive him for walking away from his kids. That part stayed with me long after I finished the book. Overall, an emotional and thought-provoking read that felt very re

Courage with a Dose of Strength
Format: Kindle
I believe this book took a lot of courage to write. To me she did a great job of not showing bitterness just love, confusion, and taking back the power. Belle admitted to her struggles and being knocked off her feet by what happened. She asked the questions and was left with No answers. She picked herself up and proved she was strong. I love that she still believes in her life story. That she still believes in love. But i also admire that she recognized the cycle and is going to break it for her kids. So, hopefully this book will be another way people realize we need to stop shifting the blame do the victim. Put ownership where it belongs. Stop, listen, and be a friend.
