In Skyjo heeft elke speler 12 kaarten in een patroon van 3x4, twee met de afbeelding naar boven en alle andere verborgen. Tijdens je beurt mag je de bovenste kaart van de aflegstapel of trekstapel nemen. Je kunt er een kaart (verborgen of open) van je display mee uitwisselen of de getrokken kaart weggooien om een kaart open te draaien. De ronde eindigt wanneer een speler alleen open kaarten heeft. Alle kaarten worden onthuld en de punten worden voor elke speler toegevoegd (kaarten worden gerangschikt van -2 tot 12). Het spel eindigt wanneer een speler 100 punten of meer behaalt. Degene met de laagste score wint.De truc is: wanneer een kolom van 3 kaarten allemaal dezelfde waarde heeft, wordt de hele kolom afgeschreven, dus als je geluk hebt, kun je proberen sets hoge kaarten te verzamelen (die iedereen waarschijnlijk zal weggooien, zodat je kunt nemen van de aflegstapel).
Skyjo Action voegt (zoals de naam al doet vermoeden) actiekaarten toe, die speciale bewegingen mogelijk maken: kaarten uitwisselen in je tafel, kaarten uitwisselen tussen spelers, een actiekaart stelen, twee beurten achter elkaar nemen enz. Je krijgt een actiekaart wanneer je hem plaatst of onthul een Joker in je tableau, of je kunt een Actiekaart nemen in plaats van een normale zet. Jokers zorgen voor een eenvoudigere verzameling van sets en maken op zichzelf zeer waardevolle sets (-10 of -15 punten).
Als nieuwe regel worden nu ook rijen met identieke kaarten weggegooid.

I wouldn’t recommend this for strong chewers.

Is it fun? Sure. Was it easy to charge and set up? Yep. That being said, this toy kind of fell flat for me. It really didn’t do any big movements once charged that I expected it to, so that was a bummer. I initially got it for my dog, but my cats were more interested in this than my dog was. The battery does seem to last a long time and the motor is pretty quiet. I WOULD NOT recommend this toy for strong chewers as the material for this is a foam rubber and I don’t think it’s durable enough for strong chewers. While the material makes this ball extremely lightweight for more movement, a strong chewer would have this disintegrated in five minutes flat. My Dog is a super strong chewer. I don’t think I would feel comfortable leaving him unattended with this because I know he would destroy it.

Well-designed and quiet, but didn’t keep my dog interested

My dog was interested in this at first, but she would lose interest after a few minutes and move on.
I do like that it’s quieter than the hard plastic ball toys, and the charge lasts well. The internal charging port that twists closed is also a nice design feature.
That said, it will occasionally turn on by itself, which can be a little surprising. Overall, it has some nice features, but it just didn’t keep my dog engaged.
