Het zal je waarschijnlijk opvallen dat er in een set geen 9 voorkomt, aangezien hiervoor de 6 (omgedraaid) kan worden gebruikt. Op deze pagina vertellen we je graag meer over slagcijfers en hoe ze precies werken.

Hoe werken slagcijfers?

Slagcijfers, ook wel handslagstempels genoemd, worden voornamelijk gebruikt om cijfers in metaal af te drukken. Echter kunnen de stempels ook worden gebruikt voor de bewerking van andere materialen, waaronder hout, kunststof en leer.

  1. De slagstempels worden aan één zijde voorzien van een getal. Hierbij wordt de andere zijde gebruikt om met een hamer het getal in het materiaal te slaan.
  2. Zo pak je met een hand de slagstempel vast en gebruik je de andere hand om de hamer me te besturen.
  3. Vervolgens zorg je ervoor dat de stempel recht op het object staat en sla je met middelmatige kracht op de achterkant, en voilà het cijfer staat nu in afgedrukt op het materiaal.

Waar dien je rekening me te houden?

Het is belangrijk om te weten dat de hardheid van de slagcijfers altijd hoger moet liggen dan die van het materiaal. De reden hiervoor is dat de slagstempels anders sneller beschadigen en ook niet goed door het materiaal heen komen.

Hoge kwaliteit staat voorop

  • De cijfers op deze slagstempels hebben, zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, een hoogte van 5 mm. Hierdoor is het mogelijk om kleine objecten te bewerken of grote objecten te voorzien van minuscule gegevens, zoals bijvoorbeeld een product code.
  • De slagstempels hebben een hardheid, aan het einde van het lettertype, van HRC 58-60. Dit is meer dan genoeg voor harde metalen, waardoor ze ook geschikt zijn voor de bewerking van zachtere materialen. Let wel altijd goed op de hardheid van het materiaal om te voorkomen dat de slagstempels beschadigen.

Accessoires en benodigdheden

Met alleen slagstempels kom je er nog niet. Je hebt namelijk nog een aantal accessoires en benodigdheden nodig om het werk makkelijker en veiliger te maken. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan een slaghamer met een goed handvat. Op deze manier kun je nauwkeuriger te werk gaan en maak je het jezelf wat comfortabeler. Daarnaast kan het ook geen verkeerd idee zijn om vingerbeschermers aan te schaffen. Hiermee voorkom je namelijk dat je met de hamer op je vingers slaat.

A solid chair for the budget conscious sitter.

While this is not THE most comfortable chair, let's face it - if you sit for long periods, what chair IS? I bought this chair because I'm making a career change. I've returned to school and spend hours at my desk. At the age of 50, sitting for a long time with my nose pointed toward a book can be hard on the seat, back and neck. I looked at all kinds of office chairs and settled on this one, primarily because it was on sale, was in my budget and so I clicked the "Add to cart" button and hoped for the best. It was delivered, and I had to work that evening, and when I got home my 17-year-old son had assembled it. My theory on the simplicity of assembly can be deduced from that sentence above. He didn't have any extra parts left over and the chair was complete! I sat down. I leaned back. I shifted the lever that keeps the chair in an upright position and sat straight up. Okay! I can live with this. It has been almost two full months of using this chair and I have no problems. Pros: easy to assemble sufficient comfort level - adequate cushion in the seat can be leaned back or pop the lever in to stay straight up rollers on bottom headrest is adjustable affordable easy to clean arm-rests can be moved up or down height adjustment is self-explanatory - you'll figure it out the "lumbar" support is actually comfortable - it's "there" if you back up to it but if you scoot forward just a bit, you won't feel it if you don't want to sit like that Overall this seems like a chair that's going to last me for a few years, at least, and not fall apart. In the context of size, I'm not a small or extra larger person. I'm an average middle-aged woman with meat on the bones. The seat is plenty big enough. I would recommend this chair as an upgrade to the hand-me-down office chair that just isn't comfortable any longer.

Good chair with some quality issues

I've been using this chair for 12+ hours a day for the last 5 or 6 months and so far it is much better than my last chair I bought at Staples with a few problems. First, overall the chair is still comfortable when set properly, the cushion on the bottom is a little worn out but is still comfortable and I find the backrest comfortable except for the lumbar support which has very little cushioning and feels like a plastic brick being pushed into my back, however I find that I can keep it mostly out of the way most of the time and it isn't noticeable when I carry most of my weight on my upper back area while reclining. The reclining angle is super comfortable and the mesh on the back is not noticeably worn out. I like the headrest which is made of a cushioned mesh, its not better than a pillow but it's very comfortable to be able to rest your head in a chair you are going to sit in for long hours and gives good support. The arm rests don't feel amazing, they have a very stiff plasticky cushion feeling that I'm not much a fan of in terms of pure comfort but they get the job done as I mostly only rest my elbows on them when typing. The arm rest adjustment has a pretty good height range and I keep them at the highest settings and set as close to the chair as possible. While the chair may be comfortable, I have had some quality issues that bring down my opinion of the chair. First, my right arm rest does not go as high as my left arm rest and I have to set the left one down two positions to match the right one Second, the back rest locking for the upright position is broken but I can rarely get it to work as long as I don't put much weight on the back. I would imagine that most people would want to lock the chair upright as opposed to the other positions. Third, the 3 screws holding in the backrest untighten themselves over time, causing the backrest to move to its furthest back position and rock left or right if I lean on either side. When I tighten them again they will usually last about 1-2 weeks before becoming mostly loose again. There is no danger of the screws completely falling out though, just losing their tightness Lastly, I'm not sure how stable or secure the wood panel at the bottom of the seat that everything attaches to is strong enough, I used to have my armrests adjusted out further from the center but when I would lift up on my arms to adjust my seating position I would occasionally hear a sound of the wood stressing under the torque from the armrests. since I moved both armrests as close to the center as I can this has not happened; I would like them a little bit wider but I don't want to risk breaking the chair over it. Also, one of the factory-installed screws in the bottom seat panel fell out and wont stay back in but I haven't noticed any problems other than the risk of stepping on a screw caused by it While this is likely the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in, I have to give it 3 stars for the uncomfortable lumbar support and the quality control issues. If the QC issues were fixed I could easily give this chair a 4 star review
