Oude, antieke landkaart van de Britse Eilanden. De kaart is omgeven door vier sierranden. Titelcartouche links boven. Cartouche met schaalstokken links onder. Naast deze cartouche de vermelding van de maker van de kaart en de datering. Inzet met kaartje van het uiterste noorden van Schotland en van de Orkney-eilanden in cartouche rechts boven. Uitgeversimpressum in kader rechts onder. De sierrand boven toont van links naar rechts het portret van Jacobus I van Engeland, stadsplattegrond van Newcastle, stadsplattegrond van Cambridge, aanzicht van Londen, het wapen van het Britse Rijk, aanzicht van Edinburgh, stadsplattegrond van Canterbury, stadsplattegrond van York en het portret van Karel I. In de sierranden links en rechts van de kaart afbeeldingen van onder meer edellieden, burgers en andere figuren uit Engeland en de andere Britse eilanden. De sierrand onder toont van links naar rechts het wapen van Schotland, stadsplattegronden van Oxford, Galway en Dublin, het wapen van Engeland, stadsplattegronden van Norwich, Bristol en Chester en het wapen van Ierland. 
Handgekleurde kopergravure door Abraham Goos (vermelding links onder). Uitgegeven in 1630 door Claes Jansz Visscher te Amsterdam.
Marges boven en onder aangezet; onder is de buitenste kaderrand (onder de afbeeldingen in de sierrand) op zeer professionele wijze aangevuld.

If you've ever wanted to know more indepth details about the Christmas story, a detailed and true explanation of the birth of Jesus, this is the book to buy. It's worth every penny. If you've ever had questions like: why those shepherds? what made them so special? details about the "wise men", why do only Luke and Mark detail these events, why Nazareth? and so much more... buy the book! I took my book over my daughter's house for Christmas Eve with her and her kids + a few friends. They aren't all as familiar with scripture as my husband and I are, but I've insisted on continuing the tradition my mom started of reading the Christmas Story before we open any presents. I brought this book and told them a few things covered in the book... like where the manger was. When we left, I offered to leave the book if anyone wanted to look at it... one of the girls excitedly said she was hoping I would leave it. She really wanted to read it. I couldn't have been more thrilled. I would encourage anyone interested in this book to buy it, read it, and give it to someone else who will read it too. For the money, what a great witnessing tool! It's so factual, it will speak to those who are kind of "on the fence".
