Dit slijphulpstuk past onder anderen op de Fingernail arm van de Sorby Pro Edge Slijpsystemen.

Deze Long Grind XL is een verlengd slijphulpstuk ten opzichte van de originele Pro Edge Long Grind om beter aan te sluiten bij de specifieke snijhoeken die nodig zijn voor Houtdraai- en Schalendraai- gutsen, zoals van Sorby en Hamlet.

Ontwikkeld in samenwerking met houtdraaier Peter Peer levert deze verlengde versie onder meer volgende snijhoeken op: 45°*, 50°, 55°, 60°.

  • *Het eerste gat (45°) dient puur ter referentie; gebruik hier voor uw originele 1gats slijphulpstuk wat standaard bij uw Fingernail arm zit.
  • Het tweede gat geeft een hoek van 50 graden. Let op: bij korte handvatten of gereedschappen is het soms niet mogelijk om de 50 graden stand te gebruiken. Met een nieuwe schaaldraaiguts van Sorby (842LH) is het wel mogelijk om deze stand te gebruiken.
  • Het derde gat geeft een hoek van 55 graden. Deze wordt gebruikt voor schaaldraaigutsen.
  • Het vierde gat geeft een hoek van 60 graden. Deze hoek wordt gebruikt voor schaaldraaigutsen die de bodem van diepe kommen kunnen snijden.

De gaten horen krap te zijn; Te krap? Even opschuren met een schuurpapier om een stokje.
