De topwijn van Matteo en Maddalena is deze Riserva. De Vigneto Branca verwijst naar één specifieke wijngaard op het landgoed van Fattoria Cigliano di Sopra, gelegen in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in het noordelijke deel van de Chianti Classico-regio.De stokken staan hier op zand en klei die rijk is aan steen en kalk. Na de handmatige oogst vergist de wijn spontaan op hout met 100% hele trossen en rijpt vervolgens 14 maanden op Oostenrijkse Stockinger vaten en Frans Barrique. Het resultaat is een Chianti Classico met grootse finesse. Een serieuze wijn voor bij een copieuze maaltijd (Bistecca Fiorentina) maar ook met frisheid, preciezie, verse kersen en floraliteit. Nu al waanzinnig maar met een gigantisch bewaarpotentieel.

 Maddalena en Matteo werkten voor een aantal beroemde huizen en één van de plekken waar ze de meeste inspiratie opdeden was het beroemde Montevertine. Niet gek dat hun vlaggenschipwijn doet denken Le Pergole Torte. Pas de tweede jaargang dat deze cuvée wordt geproduceerd en behoort nu al tot de top van de regio. 95 points, Decanter - 17.5/20, Jancis Robinson
