Toen ik een tijdje geleden naar een soort Corona-versie van een inkoopbeurs ging, was ik alleen van plan om het Frutos do Mar servies in te kopen. Maar toen zag ik dit... het Bloom servies van dezelfde Portugese fabrikant, Duro Caramics. En toen wist ik dat ik nog een bloemenservies aan de Kleuroptafel collectie moest toevoegen.

Want laten we eerlijk zijn, deze schaal is toch een kunstwerk?!

Sprookjesachtig en toch natuurgetrouw

De paarse alliumachtige bloem, de zaden (van een paardenbloem?) die door de lucht zweven, een soort zwanenbloem en op de grijze achtergrond bijna sprookjesachtige witte bloemen en bladeren. Het is pure fantasie en het past allemaal perfect bij elkaar.

De kleuren en illustraties van het Bloom servies zijn vrijwel allemaal hetzelfde, maar alle borden, schalen, kopjes etc. zijn iets anders. Elk artikel heeft zijn eigen karakter.

Met de hand gemaakt en gedecoreerd

Het Bloom servies wordt bij Duro Ceramics met de hand gemaakt en gedecoreerd. Zoals je op de foto's kunt zien is het allemaal een beetje hobbelig en alles behalve strak. Lekker laissez-faire, lekker zomers en mediterraan. Maar... van topkwaliteit en zeer mooi afgewerkt. Daarom kunnen al deze serviesdelen gewoon in de vaatwasser, in de oven en, als het past, in de magnetron. Let op, omdat het handgemaakt is, zijn niet alle schalen en borden 100% rond!
