Naast dat advent de tijd is om toe te leven naar het kerstfeest, de geboorte van Jezus, is advent ook de tijd waarin we uitkijken naar het moment dat Jezus voor de tweede keer naar de aarde komt. Alles draait hierom: God komt naar jou toe, om licht te brengen in jouw duisternis. Dat licht is op allerlei plekken in de Bijbel én in het dagelijks leven te vinden.
