1 liter sera siporax pond biedt net zo veel vestigingsgebied voor bacteriën als b.v. 34 liter filtermateriaal van klei. Sterke vervuiling door zwevende stoffen voorkomt u door het gebruik van sera biofibres grof als voorfiltermateriaal.

sera siporax pond biedt bacteriën een extreem hoog aandeel tunnelstructuren met open poriën. Zo wordt het mogelijk de bacteriën op een ideale manier van voedingsstoffen te voorzien en van zeer geringe hoeveelheden vers water. Het binnenste van de tunnel verkeert in zuurstofarme omstandigheden, waardoor bacteriën tot splitsing van nitraat gestimuleerd worden om voldoende zuurstof te krijgen. Daarmee breken ze het nitraat continu af en het vijverwater blijft nitraatarm.

Berekeningsformule voor sera siporax pond:
Een enkele liter sera siporax pond is voldoende om 1.000 liter vijverwater met 20 vijvervissen met een lengte van 10 cm of een vergelijkbare bezetting (komt overeen met ca. 1,5 kg vis die als kwaliteitsvoeder max. 40 g per dag krijgt) duurzaam van organische belastingen te reinigen.
