Deze antieke bijbeltegel van keramiek is vermoedelijk vervaardigd in het begin van de 20e eeuw en toont een handgeschilderde voorstelling met de verwijzing “1 SAM 17:51”. De scène verbeeldt de overwinning van David op Goliath, een bekend Bijbelverhaal waarin de jonge David de reusachtige krijgsman verslaat. De schildering is uitgevoerd in Delfts blauw op een witte ondergrond, met in de hoeken de kenmerkende ornamenten die vaak worden gezien bij tegels uit de werkplaatsen van Ravesteijn in Utrecht.

Het tegeltje hing jarenlang in een oude boerderij en is daaruit verwijderd; aan de achterzijde zit nog wat restantcement. Er zijn lichte gebruikssporen zichtbaar, passend bij de leeftijd. De tegel wordt zonder standaard geleverd.
