Aanplanting Vederesdoorn - Acer negundo 'Flamingo'

De Vederesdoorn boom is geschikt voor een niet te droge plaats in uw tuin. Deze boom is ideaal voor aanplant langs rivieren en laaggelegen gebieden met een wisselende grondwaterstand. Ze houden van een vochthoudende, voedselrijke bodem die heel kort onder mag lopen. Daarnaast heeft deze esdoorn soort een voorkeur voor de wat zwaardere grondsoorten met een neutrale tot basische zuurgraad (pH = 7 - 8). Ze staan graag een plekje in de halfschaduw, waar het 's zomers niet te warm wordt. Deze plant is in haar jonge jaren eenvoudig met allerlei vaste planten te combineren. Later alleen nog maar met 'bosrand' en 'bosplanten'. Let op, niet snoeien in de eerste 6 maanden van het jaar.

Bijzonderheden

Vederesdoorn bomen zijn tweehuizige bomen. Deze esdoorn wordt ook wel de Californische Esdoorn genoemd en komt uit de zeepboomfamilie. Esdoorn bomen hebben prachtige herfstkleuren. Op de Canadese vlag staat het blad van een esdoorn afgebeeld.
