Doordat primer, coating en sealer in één product zijn gecombineerd, wordt het werkproces overzichtelijk en efficiënt. Er zijn minder producten nodig en de kans op fouten in de laagopbouw wordt aanzienlijk verkleind. Dit maakt het product zeer geschikt voor zowel renovatie als nieuwbouw.

Daarnaast biedt de coating een duurzame bescherming van de ondergrond. De polyurethaanversterkte samenstelling zorgt voor een slijtvaste laag die bestand is tegen dagelijks gebruik, zoals lopen, verplaatsen van meubels en lichte mechanische belasting. Ook is de vloer bestand tegen veelvoorkomende huishoudelijke chemicaliën, waardoor vervuiling eenvoudig kan worden verwijderd.

De zijdematte afwerking draagt bij aan een rustige en verzorgde uitstraling. Oneffenheden en lichte gebruikssporen vallen minder snel op, wat het product geschikt maakt voor functionele ruimtes waar een nette vloer gewenst is zonder een uitgesproken glansniveau.

Remmers PU Beton- en Vloerverf op kleur gemengd

Remmers PU Beton- en Vloerverf is leverbaar in vaste kleuren, waaronder antraciet, lichtgrijs, zilvergrijs en roodbruin. Deze kleuren zijn afgestemd op vloer- en betonoppervlakken en zorgen voor een gelijkmatig eindresultaat. Kleurmenging is niet van toepassing. De uiteindelijke kleur kan licht afwijken door ondergrond, laagdikte en applicatiemethode.

Hoe verf ik met Remmers PU Beton- en Vloerverf?

De ondergrond moet schoon, droog, draagkrachtig en vetvrij zijn. Beton- en cementoppervlakken mogen pas worden gecoat na volledige uitharding, wat doorgaans circa vier weken bedraagt. Gladde betonoppervlakken worden vooraf opgeruwd en cementsluier moet volledig worden verwijderd.

Voor gebruik wordt Remmers PU Beton- en Vloerverf goed geroerd. Op nieuwe beton- en cementvloeren wordt de eerste laag verdund aangebracht met ongeveer 30 procent water. Daarna worden twee lagen onverdund aangebracht. Bij renovatie van bestaande coatings wordt eerst de hechting getest en wordt de ondergrond licht opgeschuurd. Vervolgens worden minimaal twee onverdunde lagen aangebracht.

De verwerking vindt plaats bij een materiaal-, ondergrond- en omgevingstemperatuur tussen +8 °C en +25 °C. Op aaneengesloten oppervlakken wordt gewerkt met materiaal uit dezelfde charge om kleurverschillen te voorkomen. Voor een strak resultaat wordt gewerkt met geschikte kwasten en nylonrollers, die binnen het assortiment van Verfsale beschikbaar zijn.

Hoeveel Remmers PU Beton- en Vloerverf heb ik nodig?

Het verbruik van Remmers PU Beton- en Vloerverf bedraagt gemiddeld circa 160 ml per m² per applicatie. Voor een duurzame vloerafwerking worden minimaal twee lagen aangebracht. Dit betekent dat het totale verbruik uitkomt op ongeveer 320 ml per m².

Met een verpakking van 2,5 liter kan bij twee lagen gemiddeld circa 7 tot 8 m² worden behandeld. Het daadwerkelijke verbruik is afhankelijk van de zuiging en structuur van de ondergrond. Daarom wordt geadviseerd om vooraf een proeflaag aan te brengen om het exacte verbruik te bepalen.

De coating is na circa 12 uur overschilderbaar en na ongeveer 24 uur beloopbaar. Volledige belastbaarheid wordt bereikt na circa 7 dagen. Lagere temperaturen en hogere luchtvochtigheid kunnen deze tijden verlengen. De genoemde droogtijden zijn indicatief en kunnen in de praktijk afwijken.

Adherence to the Rule of Law Must Not Become a Fair Weather Sport

The memorable quotation I have used for the title of this review comes from the second chapter (I think) of "The Fall of Affirmative Action." What is actually happening in the United States is that the law is being enforced rigorously against "enemy" institutions such as those of higher learning and not at all against those with power, money, or affinity for same. The author, an African-American Yale Law professor, devotes his first chapter to the ways in which conservatives might critique the SCOTUS precedent that ended affirmative action and his second to the ways in which liberals might critique it. His most invaluable contribution to the debate is that civil rights can be advocated from an anti-classification standpoint or an anti-subordination standpoint, with anti-subordinationists on both sides of the affirmative action debate. This forced me to take perhaps a harder look at my own beliefs than most books or articles about affirmative action. African-Americans are certainly subordinated in reality by being excluded from higher education but they are subordinated mostly in the minds of white Americans by the fact that a white applicant with the same scores, extracurriculars and admission essays might not get in. That at least is the conclusion I have come to. "Students for Fair Admissions," the organization that brought down affirmative action before SCOTUS, has now sued those few elite educational institutions that DIDN'T see sharp drops in their African-American enrollment. One strongly suspects that SFFA if not the "Justices" they persuaded will be happy only with a formal quota for African-Americans which is half or less their proportion in the population of the state where the institution is located.

Justin Driver's excellent book makes the case that conservatives may come to regret the Supreme Court's 2023 decision striking down affirmative action in college admissions. He argues that, rather than simply check a box to indicate their race, the decision will force non-white applicants to "perform their trauma" in application essays in ways that conservatives may find even more corrosive. And affluent non-white candidates--the people conservatives say should not be benefiting from affirmative action--will be the ones best-positioned to take advantage of the opportunity, since they are most equipped to exploit the loopholes and work-arounds that the Roberts decision created. A truly provocative read.
