Built around a 10G SFP+ optical interface, the card provides three independent channels of video capture and three independent channels of playback, each capable of working at resolutions up to 1080p60. This allows broadcasters and production facilities to route multiple HD video streams over a single optical connection while maintaining full signal integrity and precise timing across the network.
The card supports the complete SMPTE 2110 suite, including uncompressed video transport, independent audio routing and full ancillary data handling. Using PTP synchronization, DeckLink IP HD Optical ensures that all connected sources remain perfectly timed, essential for live production environments and multi‑camera IP workflows. Video transport is isolated through a dedicated frame‑buffer architecture that acts as a hardware‑level firewall, ensuring only authenticated video and audio packets reach the workstation.
Designed for high‑end pipeline compatibility, the card supports a broad range of professional codecs such as Apple ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, DPX, AVC‑Intra, XDCAM, HEVC and uncompressed 8‑bit, 10‑bit 4:2:2 and 10‑bit 4:4:4 video. With deep color precision supporting 8‑, 10‑ and 12‑bit RGB up to 1080p30 and 10‑bit YUV up to 1080p60, the card is suitable for demanding graphics rendering, broadcast automation, processing nodes and IP‑connected editing systems.
