Welkom bij de Jean Rijckaert, Saint-Véran AC Vieilles Vignes! Dit is zo'n wijn waar we bij Wijnvloot.nl echt enthousiast van worden. Waarom? Omdat het simpelweg een super Chardonnay is, boordevol smaak en karakter, maar nergens ingewikkeld.

Deze Saint-Véran komt rechtstreeks uit de Bourgogne, Frankrijk, en toont perfect aan hoe veelzijdig de Chardonnay-druif kan zijn. Verwacht geen zware, boterige wijn, maar juist een heerlijke balans: rijk en geconcentreerd van smaak, met genoeg frisheid en een subtiele mineraliteit die het geheel levendig houdt.

Jean Rijckaert vergist deze wijn deels in houten vaten en geeft hem daarna zo’n 10 maanden de tijd om te rijpen. Dat proces zorgt voor wat extra diepte en complexiteit, zonder dat het z'n elegante karakter verliest.

I'm not saying it's all canon in terms of the show, as i saw some complaints that there was stuff in this book that wouldn't make sense to the Ralph character (such as his love for Lisa) due to them "breaking up" in a past episode, but come on, that's a hogwash complaint.
