Daarnaast zijn de bloemen wat groter, waardoor je ze ook van een afstand goed kunt zien, en beginnen ze gesloten maar eindigen ze open. Dat is weer fijn voor insecten. De stelen zijn vaak ook lang genoeg om te knippen voor een vaas.
