Het werd in 1946 overgenomen door de legendarische wijnmaker en visionair John Daniels en werd in 1970 doorgegeven aan zijn dochters. In 1982 werkten ze samen met Christian Moueix om Dominus Estate te creëren. De wijnen, vooral die van de afgelopen 25 jaar, smaken naar een serieuze Grand Cru uit Bordeaux, maar bezitten ook de rijpe fruitkenmerken uit Napa Valley. Om specifieker te zijn: een Napa-terroir, maar met een Bordeaux-spirit.

Beschrijving: Bramen, donkere kersen, pijptabak en hints van cederhout. De afdronk redelijk lang en soepel.

Lekker bij: Ribeye, Côte de Boeuf lekker beide van de BBQ.

Leuk weetje: Ulysses is een Latijnse naam voor jongens. De betekenis is `wereldreiziger/ontdekker.
