Ze worden gebruikt om glucose en vetten om te zetten en helpen bij het bestrijden van virussen en bacteriën. Ook spelen vrije radicalen een rol bij het vernietigen van abnormale cellen. Een (blijvend) verhoogd gehalte aan vrije radicalen echter, wordt in verband gebracht met verschillende gezondheidsklachten en problemen. Teveel aanwezige vrije radicalen kunnen dan ook gezonde cellen aanvallen welke veroudering en degeneratieve ziekten kunnen veroorzaken. Dit wordt oxidatieve stress genoemd.

Gebruik
Met Radicalen-Check® kan er een indicatie worden verkregen van het niveau van vrije radicalen door het meten van MDA in urine. Na het in de urine dompelen van het stripje, kan de uitslag na 3 minuten worden bepaald aan de hand van de uitgebreide kleurenschaal. Daarmee kan onderscheid worden gemaakt tussen een minimaal, laag, gemiddeld of hoog niveau van oxidatieve stress. Het gebruik van ochtendurine wordt aangeraden aangezien dat de meest zuivere bepaling garandeert. Bij (sterk) verhoogde waardes van het MDA, kan er overwogen worden om over te gaan tot een gezondere leefstijl (dieet met antioxidantrijke voedingsmiddelen en meer beweging).

Best sunscreen

My honest review
Lightweight Protection with No White Cast
I am very satisfied with this sunscreen. The texture is lightweight, it absorbs quickly, and it truly leaves a "no-cast" finish—without that white layer that many sunblocks tend to leave behind.
