De duurzame wijnbouw van Albert Bichot

In 1831 werd het wijnhuis Albert Bichot door Bernard Bichot opgericht in de Bourgogne regio van Franrijk. Inmiddels is het uitgegroeid tot een gerenommeerd wijnhuis. Het wijnhuis bezit maar liefst 107 hectare wijngaard en is vandaag de dag in handen van de zesde generatie. Daarbij staat het wijnbedrijf bekend om de duurzame manier van werken in de wijngaarden. Ze streven naar het minimaliseren van hun impact op het milieu. Het wijnhuis bezit verschillende wijngaarden in de Bourgogne-regio, waaronder Chablis, Meursault en Gevrey-Chambertin. Ze produceren een breed scala aan wijnen, variërend van frisse en fruitige witte wijnen tot rijke en krachtige rode wijnen, die elk de unieke kenmerken van de Bourgogne-regio belichamen. De Chardonnay druiven groeien op de zachte hellingen met kalkhoudende en Kimmeridische klei bodems. Wanneer de druiven optimaal rijp zijn worden deze volledig met de hand geoogst en vervolgens in de wijnkelder geperst. Het sap wordt hierna overgebracht naar roestvrijstalen vaten voor het fermentatieproces, waardoor de wijn zuiver en fris blijft. Tot slot rijpt de wijn nog 10 maanden in dezelfde vaten op de fijne droesem. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de wijn wat meer textuur en complexiteit krijgt.

De Albert Bichot Chablis heeft een frisse en elegante geur met aroma’s van citroen. In de smaak proef je direct de opmerkelijke kracht en lengte van deze wijn. Een levendige zuurgraad in combinatie met de fruitige tonen van appel, peer en hints van honing zorgen voor een prachtige smaakbeleving. De wijn is perfect als aperitief, dankzij de fris- en levendigheid. Daarnaast kan deze Chablis wijn ook perfect geschonken worden bij gerechten met zeevruchten of vis.
