Vinificatie: koude inweking gedurende vier dagen start de gisting van de wijnen spontaan; op dat moment werden verschillende gisten toegevoegd om meer complexiteit te bereiken. Na de gisting wordt twee dagen extra schilcontact gegeven. De wijnen rijpen 20 maanden in 225 L Franse eikenhouten vaten. Een combinatie van 30% eerste vulling, 30% tweede vulling en 40% derde vulling werd gebruikt voor de rijping. Na 12 maanden werden de wijnen uit het vat gehaald en gemengd om de integratie te verbeteren, waarna ze teruggingen naar het vat voor verdere rijping.

Kleur: dieprood met een granaatrode rand

Geur: een melange van zwarte bessen, moerbeien en frambozen voert de neus aan en wordt ondersteund door potloodkrullen, noten van sigarenkistjes, geroosterde koffiebonen, pure chocolade en warme specerijen

Smaak: een vol gehemelte met strakke, lineaire tannines en een evenwichtige zuurgraad leent zich tot het rijke bessenfruit; de merlot voegt prachtige diepte toe aan het middengehemelte

Foodpairing: bij geroosterd lamsvlees, hertenvlees, eendenborst of rundvleesgerechten

Alcoholpercentage: 14,2% vol.
