Folaat is de biologisch actieve vorm van foliumzuur
Foliumzuur is de synthetische vorm van vitamine B11. Folaat is de zogenoemde biologisch beschikbare of actieve vorm van foliumzuur en daardoor veel beter opneembaar. Voordat ons lichaam foliumzuur kan opnemen, moet het namelijk twee omzettingsprocessen doorlopen. Eerst van foliumzuur naar dihydrofolaat (DHF), vervolgens naar tetrahydrofolaat (THF) om daarna pas folaat (5-MTHF) te worden. Wanneer je folaat binnenkrijgt in een supplement is het dus direct beschikbaar voor ons lichaam en daardoor veel effectiever!
Quatrefolic®, de vierde generatie van folaat
Quatrefolic®, ook wel de vierde generatie folaat genoemd, heeft een superieure biologische beschikbaarheid ten opzichte van andere vormen van folaat. Vitakruid garandeert stabiliteit door de binding met glucosaminezout in plaats van de binding aan calciumzout (de derde generatie van folaat). De koppeling met glucosaminezout maakt het nutriënt stabieler in maag- en darmkanaal, wat resulteert in een betere opname van het folaat (5-MTHF).
Doordat Quatrefolic® de reeds omgezette vorm van 5-MTHF gebonden aan calciumzout is, heeft het lichaam geen verdere hulpnutriënten nodig heeft om het effect van foliumzuur te ervaren. De nummer één folaatvorm wereldwijd!
Gebruiksvriendelijk door kleine tablet
De Actief Foliumzuur tabletten zijn uiterst klein. We praten over een doorsnee van slechts negen millimeter, een gemiddeld gewicht van 160 milligram en een dikte van rond de drie millimeter. Zelfs het doorslikken van meerdere tabletten tegelijk moet dus geen enkel probleem vormen!
Claims
- Folaat draagt o.a. bij aan: extra energie bij vermoeidheid/moeheid, hersen- en zenuwfuncties betrokken bij het leervermogen, de aanmaak van cellen en weefsels, tot de vorming van rode en witte bloedcellen en de normale aminozuursynthese. - Folaat heeft een positieve invloed op het immuunsysteem - Foliumzuursuppletie verhoogt de folaatstatus van de moeder. Een lage folaatstatus van de moeder is een risicofactor voor het ontstaan van een open ruggetje bij de zich ontwikkelende foetus. Het gunstige effect wordt verkregen bij een extra foliumzuurinname van 400 mcg per dag gedurende ten minste één maand voor en maximaal drie maanden na de conceptie.

Perfect for giving my dull skin a extra boost

Really great moisturizer for my entire body. I have been having issues with my skin looking dull & dry even after using lotion. I’ve realized b/c I am 40+ I need to add an extra layer with a little extra in the ingredients to bring my skin back to life & this has really did a good job so far. I love it. I originally bought it for my day for prom to give her extra shine that will last all night & it did an amazing job on her “young” skin & made it glow so beautifully. Then I said, let’s see what it will do for momma & started using it. I like it b/c it doesn’t leave residue on clothes & it’s not too thick or oily it’s perfect. After the shower this is my got to & a night out I will definitely add a layer of this & hit the road. I definitely recommend this product if you are looking for anything I mentioned above. I will be buying my daughter another bottle & myself as well & adding to subscription list.

Overrated

I wanted to like this. I had it in my shopping cart for over a year. When I got a gift card during Christmas, I used it on this product. It was quite underwhelming, in my opinion.
The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving a soft glow without feeling greasy, which I really appreciated. It layers well under clothing and doesn’t leave any sticky residue.
The hydration is decent thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid, squalane, and nourishing oils, but I didn’t notice a dramatic difference compared to other quality body lotions. While the idea of 24K gold sounds luxurious, I didn’t see a noticeable improvement in firmness or redness reduction. I also found myself using ALOT in order to get even close to the results that are advertised. I am a big fan of using oils and I've used better / more affordable ones.
The toasted vanilla scent is pleasant and warm, with a slightly sweet, creamy finish, but the scent was fleeting and did not last. Overall, it’s an OK oil with a nice scent and feel, but the results didn’t stand out enough to fully justify the premium, spa-like claims and price.

Good size bottle, not favorite but a good body oil.

While I wouldn’t necessarily call this the *best* glitter body oil I’ve ever tried as it’s quite messy to apply, it’s still certainly become a summer staple on my vanity. Being an ex smoker with the smokers skin problem living in the dry AZ desert, the Hyaluronic Acid in it is a plus. It is a thicker oil though, that isn’t as quick to dry & no where near enough glitter in it imo compared to others marketed for their gold glitter (like the Tarte glitter body oil that I like which is a bit thinner & quicker to absorb w/ more glitter appearance on the skin), but it is a fairly large sized bottle that lasts me awhile. When I originally bought my first bottle it was about 1/2 price it is now, so for how thick/messy & not quickly absorbing it is, kind of just staying wet & glossy on top of my skin making it easy to wipe off rather than wiping in… I’m not sure I’d say the value for the money is quite there anymore at $40 or something a bottle. Sure, it’s a bigger bottle than most that still charge me $30, but it’s just not as good a quality of product. . Kopari in general just hasn’t been what I was used to it being for a little while now since exploding into this huge brand…
That all said, I still find myself coming back to buy a second bottle, lol. The Kopari sales reps are right when they say it works much better when mixed into the whipped Kopari lotion & then a little goes a lot longer a way & absorbs better for that softer not so oily skin. Overall, it is kind of expensive for what it is quality wise, but the amount you get some would say is a good value for your money. I’d say the quality could be better for the value, but it’s def not a ‘bad’ body oil by any stretch, especially when mixed with the lotion. It’s my secondary backup to go to that comes with enough to last me longer & supplement my better quality better absorbing more expensive oils.
If you like a thicker glitter body oil that isn’t too glittery & you use a lot of body oil, this may be a good one for you.
If you have dry skin & prefer to use lotion & only a little glitter body oil mostly in the sun to add glitter & help draw in the sun for a tan & want a thinner faster absorbing oil, this may not be the one for you- even if it comes with a hefty amount for the $40 price point compared to others at same price point.
