Handgehamerde klankschalen

Het maken van gehamerde klankschalen is een ambachtelijk proces dat volledig met de hand gebeurt. Elke schaal krijgt zijn unieke vorm door zorgvuldig hameren, stap voor stap, totdat de juiste klank en vorm zijn bereikt. Het begint met het smelten van diverse metalen zoals koper, tin, ijzer, lood, goud en zilver, afhankelijk van het type schaal. Voor bronzen klankschalen vormen koper en tin de basis, soms aangevuld met kleine hoeveelheden van de andere metalen die samen zorgen voor een bijzondere samenstelling.

Het gesmolten metaal wordt uitgegoten in mallen en gesneden in schijven van verschillende grootte en dikte. Daarna worden deze schijven meerdere keren verwarmd tot ze roodgloeiend zijn. Pas dan kunnen vakmensen ze met precisie hameren in de juiste komvorm. Omdat het metaal snel afkoelt en dan broos wordt, gebeurt dit proces met grote zorgvuldigheid om te voorkomen dat de schaal beschadigt.

Wanneer de grove vorm is bereikt, begint het fijne afwerkingsproces. Nogmaals worden de schalen roodgloeiend verhit en worden ze verder gevormd en gehamerd tot de gewenste klank en grootte. Ten slotte worden ze van binnen en buiten zorgvuldig geschuurd, gepolijst en soms bewerkt met beitels voor de laatste details.

Let op: elke klankschaal is met de hand gevormd. Daardoor kan de diameter iets variëren, de genoemde maat is een indicatie.

Helped a bit with barrier, but it must be used very sparingly, and didn't improve fine lines for me.
I had mixed feelings about this eye cream. On paper, the combination of ingredients such as retinol, niacinamide, and centella sounded promising, especially for targeting texture and supporting the skin barrier. However, in practice, I found the formula to be a bit too strong for my sensitive eye area. I had to be very careful not to apply it too close to my eyes to avoid irritation. The cream is very thin and lightweight, and I found that it did absorb well without leaving too much of a greasy residue once applied. After about two weeks of consistent use, I did notice some positive changes. The skin under my eyes felt slightly more elastic, and my skin barrier seemed to be benefiting overall, which I appreciated. That said, I didn’t see any real improvement in fine lines or firmness, which is one of the main reasons I reach for an eye cream with retinol in the first place. The price point is definitely affordable, but it also feels like a case of getting what you pay for. While it’s not a bad product, it didn’t stand out enough for me to consider replacing my regular eye cream. At the end of the day, skincare is a long game. What we do now often shows up years down the line, so I do think it’s worth investing in higher-quality formulas when possible. For me, this one was just okay: some mild benefits, but ultimately unremarkable.

A thick and rich cream that smooths on nicely!
So I jumped on the Korean skincare bandwagon and decided to purchase some of the DR MELAXIN Products to try! I read many good reviews and decided it was worth the money. This first product is the Dr Melaxin Calcium cemenrete calcium volume cream. It comes in a 1.76 ounce glass jar. On the label there is a lot of word descriptions so I will add a few: Ex volume firming, rebornic 10,000 ppm hydrolyzed elastin and collagen extract. I have photographed label for viewing. The directions indicate to "apply a small amount of cream onto your face especially around the under-eye area". I found the cream thick and rich and I used it in addition to another Dr Melaxin neck and face product so I concentrated on only neck and under eye area. It is neutral in scent and is very thick so it feels like it is absorbing nicely. I have been using it for about a month now and have definitely noticed some improvement in the neck area so i will continue to use and layer with other products. I do recommend this line as the ingredients seem effective so far!
