Vechters wereldwijd krijgen nieuwe uitnodigingen voor een nieuw KoF-toernooi, ondertekend door R.
Spelers kunnen in deze dertiende vechtgame uit de serie spelen met 28 personages. Varierend van de stoere broers Andy en Terry Bogard tot aan de schattige Athena Asamiya. Met het gekozen personage kunnen spelers het online of thuis op de bank tegen elkaar opnemen. Zijn er geen vrienden in de buurt dan kan het verhaal van de game worden doorlopen met het spannende KoF-toernooi of kunnen spelers proberen een vijand zo snel mogelijk neer te halen.
