Het werd in 1946 overgenomen door de legendarische wijnmaker en visionair John Daniels en werd in 1970 doorgegeven aan zijn dochters. In 1982 werkten ze samen met Christian Moueix om Dominus Estate te creëren. De wijnen, vooral die van de afgelopen 25 jaar, smaken naar een serieuze Grand Cru uit Bordeaux, maar bezitten ook de rijpe fruitkenmerken uit Napa Valley. Om specifieker te zijn: een Napa-terroir, maar met een Bordeaux-spirit.

Beschrijving: Aroma's van zwarte bessen, grafiet, bosbessen, gedroogde bloemen, zwarte truffels en bosgrond. Medium tot vol, fijne tannine die maar doorgaan, zwarte bessen, paddenstoelen en viooltjes.

Lekker bij: Gevogelte, risotto met paddenstoelen, rundvlees.

Leuk weetje: De wijnen, met name die van de afgelopen 25 jaar, zijn te vergelijken met zeer goede Bordeaux Grand Crus, al bevatten ze ook de tonen van rijp fruit die kenmerkend zijn voor Napa Valley.
