Oude, antieke kaart van Amsterdam. Stadsplattegrond met de gebouwen in opstand weergegeven (niet de huizen). Titel onderaan op een steen omgeven door diverse emblemata. Rechts daarvan een stenen grenspaal met de kompasroos en aan de voet de schaalstok. Bovenaan de korte titel: AMSTERDAM. Rechts boven een draperie met legenda 1-93. Links daarvan een putto met het wapen van Amsterdam. Links boven een draperie met een kaart van Amstelland en daaronder legenda 94-139. Onder de draperie legenda aa-zz - zzz. Rugzijde blank.
De kaart is oudtijds gesegmenteerd en op linnen gemonteerd, waardoor de kaart opvouwbaar is. Zeer mooi exemplaar.
Handgekleurde kopergravure door Hendrik de Leth. Uitgegeven door Covens en Mortier en J. Covens jr. in of kort na 1784.
