Rosso rubino, al naso esprime belle note di fiori di campo, frutti rossi e un tocco di noce moscata. Al palato è secco, fresco, caratterizzato da una certa morbidezza in contrapposizione ai tannini. Equilibrato e piacevolissimo, chiude su note appena più amarognole.Se il Sagrantino è il vino più importante del territorio di Montefalco, il Rosso è certamente quello che ne accompagna la quotidianità. Un vino di straordinaria freschezza ed equilibrio, figlio di un tradizionale assemblaggio di sangiovese, sagrantino e merlot che viene lasciato maturare per circa un anno in grandi botti di rovere. Il Montefalco Rosso DOC 2014 di Arnaldo Caprai è un vino di rara piacevolezza, grande compagno della tavola tanto oggi quanto tra diverse stagioni.
A tutto pasto ben si abbina ad antipasti di salumi e formaggi mediamente stagionati, primi piatti succulenti e arrosti di carni bianche e rosse.
