Springfield Estate is een door een familie gerund wijnhuis. De vierde generatie wordt beheerd door de familie Bruwer. Hun voorouders waren hugenoten die in de 17e eeuw naar de Kaap vluchtten. De wijngaarden zijn voor 50% beplant met witte en voor 50% met rode variëteiten. Abrie Bruwer wil kleine hoeveelheden topwijnen produceren en handelt daarom onder het motto "Van de druif tot aan de fles met zorg en passie". Zijn wijnen worden met minimale tussenkomst in de wijngaard gemaakt en overtuigen met een ongelooflijke verscheidenheid aan smaken. De grond waarop de Chardonnay-wijnstokken staan, is steenachtig en kalkhoudend. Het klimaat is gematigd in de zomer, met warme dagen en koelere nachten. Het is koud in de winter. De wijnstokken zijn gemiddeld 25 jaar oud. Bij het oogsten worden de druiven streng geselecteerd en is de opbrengst per hectare beperkt tot slechts circa 4 ton. De oogst voor deze Chardonnay begint begin februari. Trouw aan zijn bijnaam, wordt de wilde gist Chardonnay gefermenteerd met behulp van de inheemse, wilde gisten die van nature op de schillen van de druiven voorkomen. Zonder hout wordt het gefermenteerd in ondergrondse cementtanks in een langzaam, vluchtig proces dat tussen de 6 en 9 maanden kan duren. Deze methode, hoewel riskant, resulteert in ongelooflijk expressieve wijn met een wijsheid die onbereikbaar is in wijnen gemaakt met commerciële gisten. De wijn rijpt vervolgens nog 13 maanden in stalen tanks voordat hij wordt vrijgegeven voor verkoop.Een schitterend goudgeel glas wijn
De Springfield Wild Yeast Chardonnay schittert goudgeel in het glas met groenachtige reflecties. Het lange wachten wordt uiteindelijk beloond met een Chardonnay met een heerlijke geur van ananas en peren snoepjes. Vanille, noten, fris fruit en complex. Gorgeous. But it SHEDS

Soft and gorgeous. Not a fan of all the fluff that got all over everything when I finally managed to get all 250 of those stupid little plastic things cut off and got it off the hanger. Washing it will get rid of that but I had to vacuum the chair and carpet where I was sitting.

Soft, Cozy, and a Little Bit Extra — This Blanket Is Worth Every Dollar

I picked this up because I have a bit of a blanket problem. You know… the kind where you already own several, but somehow none of them are the one when you’re trying to get fully cozy on the couch. I wanted something oversized, soft, and honestly a little cute to throw over the back of my chair when I’m not using it.
This one checked all the boxes and then some.
The first thing I noticed was how insanely soft it is. Not just “this is nice,” but the kind of plush where you keep absentmindedly rubbing it while watching TV. It has that smooth, velvety feel without being heavy, so you don’t end up overheating five minutes later and kicking it off in frustration. It’s warm, but still breathable enough to use year-round.
Size-wise, it’s perfect. The 60x70 actually gives you enough blanket to fully wrap up without playing that constant game of “do I want my shoulders covered or my feet?” For once, both can be warm at the same time. Luxury.
I also really love the look of it. The black is nice and rich, and the cursive Juicy Couture script in pink and white gives it just enough personality without feeling loud. It has that cozy-but-put-together vibe, like it belongs in a room that has its life together even if I don’t.
Another big plus for me—no shedding. I’ve had plush blankets before that leave little fuzz everywhere like they’re slowly disintegrating. This one has held up really well so far, even after use, and still looks clean and put together.
For around $28, this honestly feels like one of those “why is this so good for the price?” kind of finds. It doesn’t feel cheap, and it definitely doesn’t look cheap.
If I had to find anything to mention, it’s lightweight, so if you’re someone who wants a super heavy, weighted-feeling blanket, this isn’t that. But for everyday use, lounging, or layering, I actually prefer it this way.
Overall, this has become my go-to blanket without even trying. It’s soft, it’s cute, it does its job perfectly—and somehow made my couch feel like a better place to exist.

The best throw blanket we own.

I cannot tell you how soft this is. It is so soft and nice and warm. I live in a part of the country that gets some really cold we get snow until like the beginning or middle of May and this was perfect. I curled up with it the other night and it was so warm and so comfy. Both of my children have special needs and my daughter really loves blankets so I got this blanket for her when I saw the chance to pick it up I was so happy and she loves it. She slept with it the other night and usually she'll rotate between blankets I have a lot of comforters and stuff I review a lot of comforters and blankets because that's what our family uses so I have a really good sense of you know buying blankets and getting blankets and knowing what works for us and what doesn't. This is really nice. If your children or family members or even you love warm soft luxurious blankets this is going to be the one for you. It is such a pretty color it's black but it's got like a different shades of pink and it's got white on it it is just so nice and the lettering is really crisp it's not like on there like it's not ironed on there like some of the places they iron stuff on or like you could tell that it's really cheap this isn't cheap it's like really really nicely done I just can't say how much I love it and the seams are double sown it looks like it's sown and then someone over so like it's really really not ever going to come apart it is just so nice
