Deze kaart is ideaal voor integratie in nieuwe of bestaande LWL-infrastructuren over grote afstanden en biedt volledige Gigabit bandbreedte voor een computer tot 550 meter afstand van de netwerkbron via multimode-50/125 micron Duplex-SC-LWL-kabel. Bovendien biedt deze veelzijdige kaart voor uitgebreide compatibiliteit LWL-integratie met een computer op maximaal 220 m afstand bij het leveren van netwerkframes, die bestaan uit multimode-62,5/125 micron-kabels.

Volledige Gigabit bandbreedte voor externe terminals over grotere afstanden, breidt een netwerkverbinding op grotere afstanden uit dan typische koperen kabels
