De Campi Deantera Salento IGT Verdeca 2025 komt uit het hart van Salento in Puglia en laat zien hoe een inheemse druif zich ontwikkelt onder invloed van zon, zee en noordenwind. Wat typeert Verdeca uit Salento? Het is een druif die frisse zuren combineert met een licht hartige ondertoon, waardoor de wijn zowel levendig als evenwichtig blijft.

Deze witte wijn valt onder de Salento IGT en is afkomstig uit een regio tussen de Ionische en Adriatische Zee.

Herkomst en wijngaarden

De wijngaarden liggen op ongeveer 100 meter boven zeeniveau in Salento.

  • Salento IGT, Puglia: zuidelijke regio met mediterraan klimaat.
  • Zand-, klei- en kalkrijke bodems: dragen bij aan structuur en terroirexpressie.
  • Opbrengst van 5.000 wijnstokken per hectare: gericht op kwaliteit.
  • Ondiepe, middelzware klei- en zandbodems: zorgen voor balans tussen frisheid en rijpheid.

Deze combinatie geeft Verdeca zijn frisse maar zonnige karakter.

Druif en vinificatie

Verdeca – Salento, Puglia
Verdeca is een inheemse witte druif uit Puglia die bekendstaat om haar frisse zuren en aromatische subtiliteit.

De oogst vindt plaats in de laatste tien dagen van september. Na het ontstelen blijven de druiven enkele uren in contact met de schillen bij lage temperatuur om het aromatische potentieel te versterken. De gisting gebeurt in roestvrijstalen tanks bij 15 °C gedurende enkele dagen, gevolgd door vijf maanden rijping in roestvrij staal.

Karakter en stijl

In het glas toont deze Verdeca een strogele kleur. In de mond is de wijn evenwichtig met hartige en frisse zuren, gecompenseerd door rijp fruit en een lange afdronk.

Serveer rond 10–12 °C om frisheid en balans optimaal tot hun recht te laten komen.
